Why it matters in Vastu
South-east belongs to Agni, the fire element, so the stove sits naturally there. The north-east is linked to water and purity and clashes with fire.
Simple tips
- Cook facing east.
- Keep the sink and stove apart, as water and fire are opposites.
- Place the gas stove in the south-east of the kitchen.
